On the second of January 2026, I quietly reached a milestone that once felt impossible: Two full years living drug free. Today, as a Narconon Africa graduate and a proud staff member, I stand not as someone who has “arrived,” but as living proof that real change is possible, No matter how broken things may seem at the start.

There was a time when addiction narrowed my world, stealing my clarity, my confidence, and my sense of purpose. Recovery gave me more than sobriety, it gave me my life back. Being drug free has allowed me to rediscover who I am, to rebuild trust with those I love and to step into a future defined by intention rather than regret. Each clear morning, each honest conversation, each goal pursued with focus reminds me why this journey matters.

Today, My Greatest Joy Is Using My Story to Motivate and Inspire Others.

Across communities around Gauteng and North West Province, I have had the privilege of connecting with individuals and families who are searching for hope. I see myself in their questions, their fear and their courage. And I share what I know to be true: Recovery is real, and it works given a genuine chance. If my journey can spark belief in even one person, then every step has been worth it.

I am thriving – emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I am growing in responsibilities, my relationships and my vision for the future. Most of all, I am grateful. Grateful for the support that lifted me, the structure that guided me, and the opportunity to give back through Narconon Africa.

To the Friends and Families of Those Struggling with Addiction

Please don’t give up, I am living evidence that your loved one is still there, waiting to be reached. With the right help, the right environment and unwavering belief, transformation can happen. As I look forward to another year filled with growth, purpose and service, I celebrate not just two years drug free – but a lifetime reclaimed. And for that, I applaud the power of recovery, the strength of community, and the unbreakable human spirit.
