I was broken, lifeless, spiritually depleted and emotionally numb. I had no hope left in me, the light was gone from my eyes and I had no vision for my future – I was merely surviving. But what I didn’t know then was that I had just taken the first step towards a new life. A life filled with purpose, strength and freedom.

My addiction to painkillers didn't begin out of nowhere, it began in the darkness that followed the loss of my mother, I wasn’t coping. I was suppressing my pain, trying to keep strong for everyone else, until I eventually broke inside. I was diagnosed with depression and instead of confronting the trauma I started medicating to numb the unbearable grief. I wanted the pain to go away, but pain doesn’t just go away when ignored, it grows and when you don’t face your grief it consumes you. In that state anyone can make irrational decisions and I did that.

“Narconon Africa helped me face the very pain I was running from, It didn’t just help stop using painkillers, it taught me how to live again...”

Narconon Africa helped me face the very pain I was running from, It didn’t just help stop using painkillers, it taught me how to live again, how to heal, how to confront the hurt without crumbling. Every course, every process, every moment helped me rebuild the woman I had lost within myself.

The withdrawal phase was hard, mentally, emotionally and physically, but I was surrounded by people who cared deeply, who understood and who helped me every step of the way.

The new life detox gave me clarity and energy back, I felt lighter, like the grief that had become part of my body was finally leaving me.

The objectives grounded me. Overcoming Ups & Downs in Life course helped me recognize the damaging relationships and patterns I needed to let go of. Changing conditions showed me that I can take responsibility and create a better life, no matter how far gone I once felt.

The wins I have achieved? They are life changing. I can now talk about my mother with love, not just pain. I can breathe again, knowing I don’t need pills to be okay. I laugh, love and live with intention. I’ve reconnected with family and gained back their trust.

“I have found a deeper purpose to help others
rise from where I once fell.”

To the staff and management of Narconon Africa, your commitment, love, patience and unwavering support cannot be put into words. It takes extraordinary human beings to give so selflessly every single day, to help others heal and find themselves again. You don’t just show up for me, you walked the journey with me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To my husband and my family, your support through the process, especially in my absence, meant the world. It wasn’t easy for you, but you stood by me. Your love helped carry me through the hardest days and now I return to you stronger, clearer and ready to walk this life fully present. I will never say that this journey was easy, it wasn’t, but it was absolutely worth every moment of hard work, sacrifice and dedication.

I’ve learnt that healing isn’t about avoiding the pain, it's about walking through it and discovering your power on the other side. Narconon Africa didn’t just save my life, it has given my life back to myself. I walk out of here painkiller free, spiritually alive and emotionally strong, with the wisdom to face life and help others find their own way to healing.

This is not the end. It’s a brand-new beginning, I’m back, better and stronger and ready to embrace all of you in your own journeys.

Thank you, Narconon Africa. You gave me the greatest gift, My life back!
